Room layouts we set most often
The dining room at 502 East Atlantic Avenue can flex between seated tastings for twelve, cocktail receptions for forty with passed bites, and partial buyouts that keep one side open for regular reservations. Tell us your head count first, then we sketch a timeline for arrival, speeches, and dessert.
How tasting menus are built
Chef Coton and the sous team write courses around what local docks and farms deliver that week. You still see French technique in stocks and sauces, while the plate reads coastal American. If you need a fully plant-based arc or a shellfish-free line, we rebuild the sequence instead of swapping one protein at the last minute.
Audio, cake, and vendor coordination
We keep playlists at conversation-friendly volume, coordinate with your DJ if you bring one, and stage cakes from approved bakeries in our walk-in until cake cutting. Vendors sign in with the host, use the alley entrance for large floral installs, and clear props before the late seating.
Deposits and calendar holds
A signed agreement and a food-and-beverage minimum hold the date. Tax and gratuity follow the contract you receive from the events desk. Weekend prime blocks fill first, so share two alternate dates when you inquire.
Wine, beer, and zero-proof pairings
The list leans Old World for whites, California and Oregon for pinot, and a short set of Florida beers on draft. Zero-proof guests get shrubs, house tonic, and seasonal agua fresca matched to spice level. Pairing flights are priced per guest and printed on the final bill so accounting stays simple for corporate hosts.
Arrival, parking, and Atlantic Avenue noise
Valet and street parking both sit within a short walk. We seat the guest of honor first, then build the room outward so photos happen before hot food hits the table. Atlantic Avenue picks up after nine, so speeches before dessert keep the room focused when the sidewalk crowd grows.
